The Department of Shalyatantra specializes in surgical and para-surgical interventions, offering a range of procedures that are highly sought after worldwide. Parasurgical procedures such as Ksharakarma, Ksharasutra, Agnikarma, and Rakthamokshana are performed with precision and are renowned for their efficacy. Shalyatantra, a branch of Ashtanga Ayurveda, addresses orthopedic diseases like fractures, joint dislocations, bone ailments, and Marma-related conditions. Treatment modalities for conditions like IVDP and back pain, including traction, massage, and kateevasthi, are well-defined. Ano-rectal disorders such as Piles, Fistula, Fissure-in-ano, and Pilonidal Sinus are also effectively managed using techniques like ksharakarma and Ksharasutra, avoiding the need for surgery. Agnikarma, involving therapeutic burning, is particularly beneficial for conditions like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Tennis elbow. Raktamoksha, a method of purifying the blood, is employed through techniques like Prachanam, siravedham, and Jalookavacharanam, with Siravedham being particularly effective. These surgical and para-surgical methods provide prompt relief and cure to patients.
